Original era manufacture. German 1871/84 Service bayonet, unit marked on the scabbard, 81.R.5.214, (Infanterie-Regt. Landgraf Friedrich I. von Hessen-Cassel (1.Kurhessisches) Nr.81. Marked on the blade spine, Crown W 83. Bright metal finish throughout, wear to the wooden grips, with a chip on each side. Sound black leather bodied scabbard.
