Original era manufacture. Blackened iron medallion honoring the 50 year anniversary of the Battle of Leipzig, October 16-19, 1813. Known as the "Battle of the Nations" the Allied coalition inflicted a serious defeat on Napoleon's Grande Armee, which ultimately resulted in his abdication in 1814. This was the largest land battle on European soil until WWI. Measures 42 mm with a suspension loop at the top.
