Original era manufacture. Steel blade, wood gripped bayonet with a black leather scabbard trimmed with steel fittings. The bayonet displays wear and use but no real corrosion issues. Faint unit markings on the guard, on the spine crown W 88. Original finish to the grips, thin cracks in the surface emanating from the steel rivets. Slightly rounded point, with the blade having a slight bend at the base. Sound stitching to the leather scabbard which remains pliable, sound leather frog with solid stitching.
