Original era manufacture. All brass construction with a black painted finish to the body and visors. French style brass comb at the top which is a separate piece. On the front is a nicely detailed Bavarian shield, held in place with brass loops; the right side loop is missing. On each side is a brass Bavarian button, looks to be merely decorative as the chinstrap is attached to the interior of the helmet. Large French style leather liner in pliable condition, most of the tips which held an adjusting string have been pulled through. Intact and complete leather chinstrap.
