Original era photography. German Imperial era, full color cabinet card of Kaiser Friedrich Wilhelm, son of Kaiser Wilhelm I, and father of Kaiser Wilhelm II. As Crown Prince he served during the three wars of German unification, ably commanding the IIIrd Army during the 1870-71 War, in the field and later during the Siege of Paris. Husband to Queen Victoria's daughter Victoria, the pair were well matched, with liberal tendencies towards helping the common people. He tragically died of throat cancer in 1888 after only three month's as Kaiser. Fine quality image with excellent detail.
