Original era photography.  A clear image of a Brunswick musician smoking a cigar. He wears the frogged, black wool coat with light blue trim, unique to the soldiers of the Duchy of Brunswick. His service cap rests on a photographers table to his right, the cap displays only a single cockade, dating the photo prior to 1897 when the national cockade was placed on the top. Very elaborate photographers logo on the reverse, displaying the barracks and fortifications of Metz.
