Original era manufacture. A light weight pattern sword carried by Cuirassier officers during social occasions. Triple etched polished steel blade measuring 30 inches in length, runs straight and true with etched designs on both sides of the blade and on the spine.E.Pack logo on the ricasso. The steel surface is clean and bright, with evidence of an old cleaning and light surface corrosion. No nicks in the cutting edge, the point remains sharp. Elaborate gilded brass guard, bow and pommel, with both sides of the guard folding up for wear. Old leather bumper at the base of the blade. Dark fish skin covered grip bound with single strand wire. Unbroken black leather bodied scabbard with gilded brass throat and chape. The number 290 is stamped into each fitting.
