Original period manufacture. Private purchase quality, officers pattern Jager Tschako with a Prussian wappen in fire-gilded brass and an officers quality field badge in woven wire bearing the colors of Schaumberg-Lippe, blue-red-white (silver) with a black velvet covered reverse, officer's quality national cockade on the right side. Complete in all respects with no moth issues to the cloth covered body. The liner and inner drape are in sound condition and the paper label was inside the lining at the time of our purchase. The visors are both securely sewn to the body of the shako. All of the components match themselves in age and light patina, resulting in a beautiful example of this pattern of headdress.
