Original period manufacture. Large black silk cap tally measuring over 12 feet in length. Worn by a Kaiserliche Marine Matrose at the end of his required enlistment, 1907-1910. He served aboard SMS Nautilus, a mine laying cruiser, commissioned in 1907 and sold for scrap in 1928. Light wear and use, very impressive.
