Original era manufacture. A very clean example issued in 1897, bright polished steel blade with an even blue & steel patina finish to the scabbard. Molded composition grip, single branch steel guard. No corrosion issues to the blade, no nicks in the cutting edge. The blade draws easily from the scabbard, matching Ammunition Column unit marks on the blade and scabbard.
