Original era manufacture. A very clean example with a quill point plated steel blade measuring 32 inches in length, running straight and true. The blade is in lovely condition with no corrosion issues or staining. Extending 4.5 inches up from the base on each side of the blade is an etched and gilded panel, with a spray of laurel leaves on the spine. On the obverse it is decorated with the Prussian coat of arms, and on the reverse a floral design with the name "Eisenhauer" in a ribbon. Hidden behind the langet on the reverse side of the blade is the back-to-back squirrel trademark of Eickhorn. Chromed steel guard, backstrap and pommel, with a plastic wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire. Original black paint steel scabbard with service denting above the drag. About 90% of the paint finish remains.
