Original era manufacture. A walking out quality M1871 bayonet and scabbard, unmarked as to maker. Polished steel blade with etched panels on each side, with an overall measurement of 19.5 inches, even steel patina finish. Nickel alloy S-curve guard with a leather washer at the base of the blade. Brass patina finish to the grip, with a faux lock spring.Sound, black leather bodied scabbard with brass throat, frog stud and chape. Normal age and wear overall.
