Original period manufacture. Big ole hog leg of a pistol, in 10.6 caliber, adopted by the Kaiser's army in 1879. This example was produced by Mauser-Oberndorf in 1882, and bears Bavarian unit marks on the butt, B.2.A.E.2.21. Matching serial numbers throughout, 1379, barrel, frame, cylinder, grip escutcheon plates, even the screw heads have tiny 79's on them. Mechanically the pistol functions as it should, the cylinder indexes properly and locks up tight. I would say the grips have been refinished, the metal shows a mix of original blue and dark steel patina finish. There is an interesting Youtube video on this model pistol, produced by Forgotten Weapons. US Sales Only.
