Original era manufacture. German pre WWI leather M1883 Reichs Revolver holster. Supple brown leather holster which has not been oiled or crushed, maker marked Schneider Brieg on the reverse, and appears to be 1909 dated under the flap of the ammunition pouch. Pliable leather, showing light scuffing to the surface. The brass securing buckle is intact, about 1/2 inch of seam opening on the top. Inserted into the holster opening is the name and unit details of a WWII GI, likely the man who brought the holster, and presumably the pistol home from WWII.
