Original era manufacture. A clean sword of a pattern adopted in 1889 for Infantry officers of the Imperial Army. Very clean plated steel blade measuring 33 inches in length, running straight and true with the only issue being that the point is slightly blunted. Weyersburg Solingen proof on the reverse ricasso and on the base of the spine. Pleasing brass patina finish to the guard and pommel, the right side of the guard folds up for wear. The leather finger loop is intact and pliable. Fish skin wrapped grip bound with triple strand wire. Dent free black painted steel scabbard which retains about 90% of it's original finish, throat guide is intact along with both retention screws.
