Original era manufacture. German Model 1889 pattern enlisted sword and scabbard, maker marked Weyersberg, Solingen. The blade is clean, measuring 32.5 inches in length, runs straight and true. Minor nicks in the cutting edge, no corrosion issues to report. Original leather bumper at the base of the blade.  Steel basket guard with the Imperial Eagle, brown composition grips with no cracks or chips. Proper steel scabbard with a single, rigid-type suspension loop, scattered areas of shallow denting, no corrosion issues. Normal age and wear overall.
