Original period manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 31 inches in length, with etched panels on each side of the blade. It runs straight and true, with scattered areas of age darkening without deep pitting; Eickhorn trademark on the ricasso.Ornate cast brass guard, which folds on both sides, lionheaded pommel with red & green glass eyes. Celluloid grip which is bound with double strand wire, some of the strands have moved a bit over the years, with portions missing from one of the strands.Sound black leather bodied scabbard with tight stitching and no breaks in the leather body. Matching gilded brass fittings with a hammered decoration.
