Original era manufacture. Polished steel 30.5 inch blade with light engraving on the spine, and both sides of the blade. The blade runs straight and true, with spotting along its length from age, and about 15 shallow nicks in the cutting edge towards the tip.Heavy single branch steel guard, with black painted wooden grip with only the cording remaining, the leather, or fishskin wrapping is gone.Service quality, black painted steel scabbard with a fixed suspension ring. The paint is an old repaint, with visible brush strokes, and both throat screws present. This is a private purchase, service quality sword.
