Original era manufacture. Polished steel, 17 inch bayonet like blade, with a sawback edge, and WKC marked on the ricasso. The blade is quite clean, displaying only scattered spotting and staining to its surface, unsharpened cutting edge.Nickel crossguard, ferrule and pommel cap with a pleasing patina finish, simple black painted wooden grip which is free from cracks, however there is a very shallow surface chip, just below the edge of the pommel cap on the front side.Black leather bodied scabbard, with matching patina finish to the nickel fittings and suspension rings. The blade fits the scabbard well, but does have a 4 mm gap between the top of the scabbard throat and underside of the guard. However the red felt spaced is present, so the gap is not very noticeable.
