Original era manufacture. German short sword and leather sheath. WK&C, G.H. Osang, Dresden. Stamped on the underside of the hilt is LG 441 (Landesgendarmerie?).The polished steel blade measures 19.5 inches in length, with clear markings on both sides of the ricasso. Clean, no corrosion issues or nicks in the edge. Nickel guard, backstrap and pommel, with a fishskin grip bound with triple strand wire.Sound black leather bodied scabbard with nickel fittings. No breaks or loose stitching to the leather.
