Original era manufacture. Polished steel, service quality steel blade which measures 30 inches in length. Maker marked Weyersberg on the ricasso. The blade runs fairly straight and true, with scattered areas of staining and light surface corrosion. Scattered light nicks in the cutting edge along its length. Fixed clamshell guard displaying the arms of the Kingdom of Wurttemberg. Brass guard and pommel with unit markings ofXIII G.B.I. 3.1, on the reverse. Nicely carved ebony grip. Black leather bodied scabbard with sound stitching, no breaksor creases, just some scuffing along the surface. Brass patina chape and throat with matching unit markings to the guard.
