Original era manufacture. Full length black silk ribbon with gold wire embroidery. The Braunschweig was a pre-Dreadnaught class of battleship, commissioned in 1904. During WWI she participated in the Battle of the Gulf of Riga, and later in the war served as a barracks ship for U-Boat crews. One of the few capital ships allowed Germany by the Treaty of Versailles, she served with the Reichsmarine until placed in reserve in 1926. She was stricken from the Navy list in 1931, broken up and scrapped. There is a tear in the silk ribbon on the right side.
