Original era manufacture. Massive Blucher pattern sword with a very clean, 32 inch polished steel blade which is dated 1831 on the spine. No nicks in the cutting edge, and the blade runs straight and true. Dark steel patina finish guard and pommel with a black leather wrapped grip with some minor surface loss visible.Unit marked on the guard, J.M.III.1.34 (Infantry Munitions Column, Third Army Corps, 1st Company or Squadron, 34th Weapon).Dent free, dark steel patina finish scabbard with both carrying rings present, scattered surface corrosion towards the drag.
