Original era manufacture. In spite of its obvious flaws, this pouch is rather scarce. The pattern was introduced in the early 1850's, worn in pairs to carry ammunition for the famed Prussian Needle Gun, Zundnadelgewehr. The molded leather flap cover needs to be re-sewn and the belt loops have been removed. A bonus however is the small inner pouch stitched to the body of the pouch. Several similar pouches in our own collection this little pouch has been removed.
