Original era manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 18.5 inches in length, issue marked on the spine, crown R, 83, Crown A, and maker marked on the ricasso, PD Luneschloss-Solingen. Unit marked on the steel guard, U.V.M.2.93 (NCO school, Mollen(sen). Brass patina finish to the cast brass grip.Sound, brown leather frog which may date to a later era, perhaps a Luftwaffe dress frog, but on the scabbard at the time of our purchase of this bayonet. Unusual, all-steel constructed scabbard with an old repainted high gloss paint finish. There are some shallow dents in the scabbard body, but nothing terrible.
