Original period manufacture. A very clean blade and guard finished in the bright. Clear makers marks on the ricasso, Royal cypher for Albert of Saxony 92 on the spine. Unit marked on the guard 177.R.8.63 (12th Royal Saxon Infantry Regiment Nr.177). Brasspatina guard with a properly working lock button.Correct pattern black leather scabbard with a brass throat and tip, neat old stitch repair just above the scabbard tip. The old black frog was on the bayonet at the time of our purchase.
