Original era manufacture. Issue 71/84 bayonet, with crown proofs on the spine and an acceptance year of 88. Unit marked on the guard, 119 R E 2 225, (Queen Olga, 1st Wurttemberg Nr 119).The metal surfaces are clean, no major corrosion issues but do display scattered spotting and staining from age and storage. An intelligent cleaning will remove a good bit of the grime.Dark finished wood grips with minimal marring from service use, sound, black leather bodied scabbard with its stitching intact. Sound issue bayonet, unit marked to Wurttemberg's premier infantry regiment.
