Original era manufacture. Made after WWI during the era of the Weimar Republic by Weyersberg und Kirschbaum (Wuk ricasso marked) and dated 27 on the spine. Decent blue finished blade showing finnis wear towards the tip but no corrosion pitting. Decent wood grips showing typical battering and dings from service use, steel patina finish to the guard and pommel with an early Weimar proof above the lock stud. Battered steel scabbard with a mix of blue and steel patina finish, unit marked 10/JR21.66 on the throat, screw is missing. The scabbard is also marked WuK but very faint, no serial number on the blade or scabbard. Scarce bayonet.
