Original era manufacture. A well made dirk, maker marked G.C. Co. Solingen Germany on the ricasso. Nicely etched panel on the obverse displaying a naval motif, classic German style blade. Painted wood grip and finial, with a partial ribbed steel grip and ferrule. Very sound leather scabbard and belt loop with an alloy throat and chape. Would guess the date on this to be just after the end of WWII. Some paint finish loss on the wood grip portions, normal age and wear.
