Original era manufacture. A very well made piece, maker marked KXXXXX Ruckert, Wurzburg on the reverse. Oval shaped enameled obverse depicting an eagle carrying what appears to be a German soldier with rifle and ammo can in it's beak, while bearing a load of supplies in it's claws. I have not as yet been able to identify the unit. German style mounting pin. Measures 38 mm in width, small chip at the top edge.
