Original era manufacture. Old pattern Infantry officers sword without the folding guard. Chromed steel blade measuring 33 inches in length. Upon close examination, you can see evidence of very faint, old engraving on the blade surface. This mus have been a period re-chrome of the blade as the sword was a WWII souvenir. Gilded brass guard and pommel with a silver wire grip. The guard has been pushed up a bit, but could be bent downwards again if desired. Very nice black leather scabbard with sound stitching and gilded brass fittings. From the estate of a WWII US Army Doctor.
