Original era manufacture. Prussian pattern, enlisted Train Battalion sword with a triple etched, chrome finished blade, measuring 30.5 inches in length. The blade runs straight and true, with no real corrosion issues, just a few minor dents or nicks in the cutting edge. There is an etched panel on the obverse, Kurhess. Train Battalion No.11.Chrome plated basket type guard, langet and back strap, with unit markings on the underside of the basket, T.B.11.1 69. Fishskin wrapped grip without wire binding, the leather finger loop is present and not broken.Chrome finished steel scabbard with two carrying rings, unit marked on the throat T.B.11.1.69. Scattered shallow denting along its length, nothing terrible, with some minor finish wear on the drag. The throat screw is present, however the lip of the removable throat edge is missing, with evidence of an old soldering attempt to hold the piece in place.
