Original era manufacture. A popular souvenir of the era, brought home by sailors of many different nations to remember their cruise to the orient. These were embroidered and sold in Japan with a very high level of workmanship. Ours measures 23x35 inches, embroidered on light blue silk, with a variety of national flags of the era. It is a bit rumpled from storage but no fraying or damage tothe silk. The red life ring needs to be restitched onto the silk backing. Quite a work of art.
