Original period manufacture. Standard'98 bayonet with the second pattern two piece wood grips. Original polish steel blade with a mix of steel patina. Bavarian proofed on the blade spine with an '08 date. Matching unit numbers on the guard and scabbard throat, B.11.R.4.192. Scabbard stitching is tight however the leather has shrunk slightly over time, maybe a millimeter or two shy of the bottom of the guard. Sound old bayonet just showing honest age and use.
