Original era manufacture. This is an interesting example of a rather common pattern sword. Early proof on the spine of Crown W 73 (Wilhelm I, 1873)making it just after the Franco-Prussian War. Polished steel 30 inch blade with a light sharpening to the cutting edge, no pitting or corrosion damage. Dent free steel scabbard with a mix of blue and steel patina. One piece ribbed wood grip with no damage. 1920 stamped on one langet indicating service in the Reichswehr or perhaps Police after WWI.
