Original era manufacture. Issue quality cap of dark blue wool with red piping and band. Heavy white cotton lining is unit marked to the J.R.170 (est.1897)with a size mark in pencil of 55 1/2. Two original kokardes are present (1 Prussian, 1 Baden) with both having been resewn over the years. The top kokarde is a Prussian example and is incorrect, a proper pattern, original manufacture red-white-black kokarde is included. Typical scattered mothing but nothing severe. Issue caps are difficult to find especially blue ones.
