Original era manufacture. 31.5 inch chrome steel blade which is wider than most, slightly over 1 inch at the ricasso. Maker marked by Carl Kaiser (1835-1902), on each side of the blade are etched panels with the In Treue Fest motto and an attractive Art Deco lady. The blade is very clean with some scattered age staining but no nicks or chips in the cutting edge. Chromed steel basket hilt with a black plastic wrapped grip which shows a surface crack at the pommel. Original black painted steel scabbard with about 80% finish remaining, few shallow dents in its surface.
