Original era manufacture. Polished steel curved blade measuring 33 inches in length. Etched panel on each side with a crowned L cypher for Ludwig. The blade has been lightly sharpened for service use but is fairly straight and clean. Steel patina basket guard and pommel with a leather covered wooden grip without wire binding. Steel patinal scabbard with two carrying rings, light scattered surface corrosion, relatively dent free.
