Original era manufacture. 29 inch, chrome plated, quill back blade maker marked on the ricasso. Thre is some scattered lifting to the chrome finish and there are about a dozen scattered nicks in the cutting edge. Etched In Treue Fest panels on each side, blade runs straight. Composition grip with taut triple wire binding, few short cracks in the surface. Nice gilded brass basket guard with the Bavarian lion, lionhead pommel missing one of its red glass eyes. Black painted steel scabbard shows old surface corrosion and an even dark steel patina mixed with black paint finish.
