Original era manufacture. Chromed steel blade with etched and frosted In Treue Fest panels on each side. The blade is 33 inches in length, is straight and very clean, just a small spot of cleaned corrosion on the spine. Gilded brass guard and pommel with a floral design. The finish is now rather dark with traces of the gilding visible in the recesses. Sharkskin wrapped grip with triple wire binding. The black painted steel scabbard shows a pair of dents near the tip, perhaps caught in a train or buggy door back in the day. The paint finis is original and nearly 90% intact.
