Original era manufacture. 32 inch polished steel blade with etched panels on each side. L cypher for Ludwig I who ruled Bavaria from 1825 until abdicating the throne in 1848 due to the revolutions sweeping Europe at the time. Brass guard, backstrap and pommel with a sharkskin wrapped grip bound with brass wire. Steel scabbard with two carrying rings, light surface denting, nothing major, even steel patina overall.
