German Pre WWI Bavarian Police Sword & Knot

Original era manufacture. Twenty three inch polished steel blade with a central fuller, faint engraving with the In Treue Fest motto. The blade shows scattered areas of corrosion and staining but has not been cleaned by us. Black painted wooden grip with a chromed steel guard and pommel which has yellowed with age and shows dark steel patina. Black leather scabbard body is intact with sound stitiching and darkened chrome tip and scabbard throat. Patent leather frog showing surface bubbling but sound stitching. Wrapped around the frog is an original Bavarian sword knot with a blue/silver stem & crown with silver tassled ends. It shows age and wear but remains unbroken but fragile. Overall it is an honest original set that has that out-of-the-attic look to it, not overly cleaned or restored.
