Original era manufacture. Lightly used cotton blend material, with small red and green stripes woven into the fabric. All of the original attaching hooks are present the inside of the spike cover is leather lined. The cover is quite sound for display, showing no wear holes or tears, with clear unit markings and date on the interior, 3 TB (3rd Train Battalion) and date stamped 1912.
