Original era manufacture. A good quality, private purchase enlisted Ulan mutze, in a color pattern worn by three Imperial era Ulan (Lancer) regiments. Officer quality dark blue wool body with golden yellow wool piping and matching color cap band. There is a single cockade on the band, proper for a hat worn prior to 1897 when the national cockade was added.Faded purple chintz lining with remnants of an old name tag. Strassburg retailers name in the lining. Wide black Moroccan leather sweatband. Very sound old hat, withjust a few small moth bites on the band piping.
