Original era manufacture. Ok, ok so I'm guessing here as to the actual nomenclature of this well-made sword. All steel construction with a blade measuring 26 inches in length, making it rather short for military use, hence my guess at the Police designation. The scabbard is free of dents with no surface rust save for some pitting at the top of the scabbard throat. Old German quality throughout.
