German, Pre WWI, Hussar Officer Crusher Style Field Cap, Hussar Rgt 8

Original era manufacture. Dark blue wool cap with thin white piping, cornflower blue wool band with matching piping color, with a malleable black leather visor. Thin blue cotton lining with a brown leather sweatband. On the front of the cap are officer quality Prussian and national cockades. Very minor scattered mothing, the largest of which appears to the right of the upper cockade, representing a tapered hole measuring 3mm. The cap has a natural fold there so it is not very noticeable; in fact, I missed it the first couple of times I handled the hat after its purchase. The hat is not crushed or broken, the only negative to report (other than the minor moth issues) would be that the stitching securing the front of the sweatband and visor to the hat has pulled away.
