Original era manufacture. An issue quality tunic with clear unit markings and 1899 date stamped into the white cotton body lining.Lighter shade blue than the infantry waffenrock, but certainly darker than the Cornflower Blue color normally associated with Dragoon tunics. Red wool Swedish pattern cuffs with white litzen, matching color collar and shoulder straps, with white litzen and white cypher.Silver buttons throughout as is correct for this regiment, the shoulder strap buttons display the number 1 for 1st squadron. Full body lining in white and dark blue cotton, which in addition to the German issue markings, displays post WWII Russian film studio markings.The tunic is very clean, displaying minimal wear and no moth issues. The only flaw to this old tunic is that three buttons need to be resewn.
