Original era manufacture. Chrome finished steel blade measuring 32 inches in length, lightly sharpened for service use. The blade is clean running straight and true, with issue stamps on the spine of a Crown W 12. Under the langet there is a makers marking which looks to be Krebs, Solingen.The ornate cast brass guard and backstrap are sound, displaying typical brass patina finish. Fishskin wrapped grip which is bound with a silver colored wire in a chevron design.Standard black painted steel scabbard, with about 50 percent of the finish remaining, mixed with a coarse surface of old surface corrosion.
