Original era manufacture. KS98 pattern bayonet with a sawback spine, and a crown W 10 proof. The blade is clean with no issues beyond normal age and wear.Steel patina finish to the birdhead pommel and guard, unit marked K.S. 1224 (Kaiserliche Schutztruppe). Pressed leather grips, slightly shrunken from age, the right side grip has the initials K.H. carved into the surface.Cleaned steel patina finish scabbard, dent-free, with traces of the original blue finish near the throat. Matching unit numbers K.S. 1224.
