Originale era manufacture. 30 inch polished steel blade with a lightly sharpened edge for service use. The point is very sharp, no nicks in the cutting edge, just some scattered age staining and clouding to the surface. Standard folding guard with traces of gilding. Nice fishskin grip with triple wire binding, leather finger loop is intact. Black painted steel scabbard with a single shallow surface dent, most finish remains. Solid example of the pre-WWI Infantry officers sword.
